Ingredients

For the Steak and Shrimp

  • 1 lb Angus steak, cut into cubes
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup red and green bell peppers, diced
  • 2 tsp jerk seasoning
  • 1 tsp Creole seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ⅛ tsp honey (optional)

For the Yellow Rice

  • 1 cup yellow rice (prepared according to package instructions)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Steak:
    • In a large pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the cubed steak and cook for about 5 minutes on one side until browned. Flip the steak and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Shrimp:
    • Season the shrimp with jerk seasoning and Creole seasoning. Ensure the shrimp are dry by patting them with a paper towel.
    • In the same pan, add butter and then the seasoned shrimp. Cook for about 1 minute on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  3. Cook the Vegetables:
    • Add the diced bell peppers to the pan and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are tender.
  4. Combine Ingredients:
    • Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the pan with the bell peppers. Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer until it starts to bubble.
