Ingredients
For the Sliders:
- 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak (or shaved beef)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 package slider buns (12 rolls), split
- 8 slices provolone cheese (or American cheese, if preferred)
For the Cheesesteak Sauce:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Prepare the Cheesesteak Sauce:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Set aside.
Cook the Vegetables:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell pepper (if using), cooking for 8-10 minutes until caramelized and softened. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Beef:
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the sliced beef. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
Combine Ingredients:
- Return the caramelized onions and peppers to the skillet with the beef. Toss everything together and cook for 1-2 minutes to combine the flavors.
Assemble the Sliders:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) . Arrange the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish.
- Evenly distribute the beef and vegetable mixture over the bottom buns. Top each slider with a slice of provolone cheese (cut into smaller pieces if needed). Place the top buns over the cheese.
Bake:
- Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes . Remove the foil and bake for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Finish and Serve:
- Brush the tops of the sliders with the prepared cheesesteak sauce or serve it on the side for dipping. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
